least chance to brick a wii?

let say if i buy my wii today, it would be LU64-65 right?is homebrew channel all i need to play back up games? or do i have to do something else, and what are the chancese of bricking it? becuase i know you cant install bootmii, and back up NAND in boot2, so i a wii is bricked, it is over, what is the least chance to brick a wii while i could play back up games, sorry if this is in a wrong section, i don't know where to post this

You won't brick it if you follow a recommended guide on this site. Use a guide that is good for all Wii's 3.1-4.1 guide is great.

Yes, that is correct. But be sure NOT to download and install "
Install the new cIOScorp 3.4 for DVDR loading through Disc Channel - (works on all wiis) - Download - make sure you read the readme!" under the options. I repeat, DO NOT download and install because it seriously messes up your Wii.

Other than that everything else should be safe.

No, HBC is not enough. You need to follow all the non-optional steps of the tutorial, then you should be able to play backup games. When you get your Wii and are ready to softmod-read that tutorial very carefully. Most people's problems are because they skipped a step somewhere along the way.

By the way, after installing HBC, you can also install Homebrew Browser and get more games that way too-not Wii backup games-different games.

If you would have properly read the tutorial under The final step you should see that you are installing NeoGammaR7 which is a backup launcher.

Word of advice make sure you understand what cIOScorp does and how it works before you install it.

Meh, Fav if it's his first time he most likely won't want to install it. Besides he wants a least chance to brick his Wii which cIOScorp can mess up.
