Okay, step-by-step I will tell you guys how to install the HBC (Homebrew channel) and so on to the emulators and games.
Now starting off, you'll need an SD card. At least 1GB big, so it can store properly and also to have enough space to have games in. Also if your computer doesn't have an SD card read, go buy any type of SD card adapter (you will need it for storing the required stuff)
Okay settled then.
Step one: Update your Wii to the lastest version. (The tutorial said 4.0, but I made it with 4.1U or 4.1e, I'm not sure.. but it works with the latest version so far)
Step two: Once the your Wii's updated, download the files I posted above, if you missed the link: Download them
[Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
Step three: Once you've downloaded the .zip file, extract it's contents to the root of the SD card. It should appear the first folder should be apps..so on until boot.elf and WadManager1.4.dol.
Step four: Now insert your SD card to the Wii. Go to Wii Options and Data Management and last Channels.
Step five: All your installed channels will appear; Go to SD card tab. It should appear automatically a windows saying: "Load boot.elf? (If you...etc)". Press Yes and a screen will appear saying that if you bought any of this software, you were scammed..and so forth (hopefully nobody here bought any).
Step six: Once the message is gone, press 1 to continue. Now a screen will appear, with many things that you might not understand at first sight.
Warning:
DO NOT TOUCH THE BootMii OPTION, MIGHT MESS UP THE IOS, since it says it can only be installed as an IOS
a. Now press continue.
b. Go to the Install Hombrew Channel, and press it and press again Yes continue. (Once the install is complete it should appear a SUCCESS, then press continue)
c. Once again in the small menu, now go to DVDx and again continue. And so on with the success and continue, once again.
d.
Do not press BootMii! And now exit.
Step seven: It will automatically load the HBC (Homebrew Channel) and go to the loadMii option and load it.
a. A black screen will load with more white text, just press A.
b. Select the WAD folder, which is nominated there as WAD.
c. Hit BOOT.DOL (Do not press the Boot2.dol)
d. Once you select it, three options will appear. Select the Downgrade IOS 35 (Run first) Once selected it's going to connect to the server and it's going to download all the parts needed and then install them, you don't have to touch any button during this process. (This process appears as a lot or text and numbers you won't understand, just so you know those are the files needed and it's going to install them. It won't take long.)
e. Back again to the three options, go to the second one. It should be PatchMii (Run second). It's going to do the same thing as the side-step above.
f. You'll be redirected to the loadMii menu (you've seen it before) and press A.
Step eight: Now hit WAD again, and go to Boot2.Dol and it's going to direct you to a small disclaimer, just press A to continue.
a. Now you have to select the IOS version. You have to select IOS35, using the Wiimote (scroll to the left) and press A once you have put IOS35, and make sure you did.
b. Now it will select a source, just leave it as Wii SD Slot and press A.
c. Everything in the WAD folder will appear. You'll have some options, just scroll down to the one that says "Install IOS35-64-v1040.wad (1.69 MB)" again it will appear WAD Filename Install...etc so press A to that one. Now it will install all the content. Hit any button to continue.
d. Once again in the small menu, go to the one above (Backup Channel.wad (4.58 MB)" and yet again the same step (press A), install the Filename Backup Channel.wad by pressing A. And once again it will install all the content as the previous step. After it's done, press B and then press the HOME button to go back to the loadMii menu (remember it?)
e. Press A again just to exit that menu. Press HOME to exit it. It should redirect you to your Wii menu.
You'll see in the menu two new channels, The Homebrew Channel and Backup Channel. Congratulations!
Step nine: Very important! Remove these files from the root of your SD card. boot.dol and WadManager1.4.wad and also go to the private folder. Like this private>wii>title>aktn. Delete the aktn folder, do so or some errors might come!
Now that you've successfully hacked your Wii, it's time to add some emulators and roms to it huh?
Now you have two options for this, either manually install them to the SD card or download them via HBC. I prefer via HBC since it's easier.
a.Via HBC: On your Wii menu, hit the HBC channel. Then Go to the HBC option. A black screen will appear and might say that an update is available and so on. Just press A. After that you'll be initializing a connection to the server. Once successfully connected to the server, you'll be directed into a series of lists and tabs. Go to the emulator tab. Now scroll down to the desired emulator. For example, choose the SNES emulator (I'm not sure if it's included in the installment) or choose the GBA emulator, which is VBA or something like that. You'll download it and when it's finished it will automatically be in your SD card. And that's how you do it with every emulator, and any option within this way of installment.
b. Manual install: This one requires you to remove the SD card from your Wii, and place it in the computer. Now Google your way to the emulators (search wii gba emulator) and once you found the file, download it. Now open the downloaded file and it might be a folder containing the app. Copy the folder containing the emulator to the apps folder in your SD card. Now you have the emulator in.
e. For ROMs: Look for your desired rom-based website and download it. For example, if you download a SNES game open the .zip or .rar file containing the .smc file. You have to copy that .smc file to the ROMS folder either in the root of the SD card, or in the ROMS folder in the SNES folder inside the apps folder. I'm not so sure where it's located with the snes emulator, I know that the GBA emu's rom folder is inside its own folder in the apps.
Hopefully you've installed the HBC and hacked your Wii by now. Once again, I did not create this tutorial. I just merely wrote it down so people can have it here. Also I don't take credit about the programs, the credit goes to their rightful creators. Thank this guide if you think it was useful or if it worked. Feel free to discuss anything about it and so on.
Have a nice day, and enjoy.
