DVD Read Error (317) on Backup Loader Gamma

Hello, when I try to launch my backups, I receive a message saying "DVD Read Error (317). I have no idea what's wrong, so I'm hoping you do.
I am using Imation DVD-R 16x. I have tried burning with Nero 9 and ImgBurner.
My firmware is 4.0u and I believe I have the correct cIOS installed.

    Thanks!

Your error is probably caused because of the brand of dvd and the fact that you burn at 16x. The recommended DVD for wiis are Verbatim DVD-R and remember DVD-Rs are for wii not DVD+R and also burn at a lower speed such as 2x. Burning at high speeds can cause bad burns which may cause the game to freeze at some point or not even load at all. I also forgot to mention that 0.3 Gamma is outdated and you should use NeoGamma R7.

I heard Memorex DVD+Rs can kill your wii laser real early.

DVD-Rs are better than DVD+Rs for wii but you need to find a good brand of DVD-Rs such as Sony, Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden

Those will work and guess my first suggestion to use NeoGamma worked. Since neogamma has more options you can usually get games which usually have problems working. If you're wondering why DVD-R and not DVD+R:
