Ok A few Questions (Yes Im New)

Ok First off let me say hi to everyone here at the wiihacks community this site has been extremely helpful in getting me started with softmod and homebrew! But like any rookie i still have a few questions i havent really stumbled across on here so here it goes.....

I have a NTSC Wii 3.4U With Homebrew Channel, Backup loader 3 Gamma, IOS36 rev 10

1. would i be able to update my Wii to the 4.0 firmware with no problems I have wiiconnect24 off always but will upgrading the wii's firmware cause problems with HBC or Backup loader, should i update via Waninkoko 4.0 firmware updater or through nintendo?

2. Do I need to have the 4.0 Firmware for newer games to run properly?

3. What is the difference between IOS36 and the IOS38 i see on here?

4. Where can i find the IOS Disk patcher?, so i can chage some games to IOS 249?

5.How do I install Virtual Console Games From an SD card?

6.What is the best Backup loader to use?(Backup loader,Neogama etc.....) I wanna get ghostbusters and punchout but i hear they have issues

7.If I Download emulators from hbc is there any way i can get them to show as channels on the wii menu?

2: no - you need the newer ios that can be pulled of the dvd and installed with wad manager
3: are you referring to the cios? 38 is the newer one....

little question myself.

I got starfall installed. Is it safe to put preloader onto it? I'm on 3.2, maybe planning to go to 4.0 and since starfall doesn't work, I though of updating the hack with preloader first, or must I uninstall it first?

in regards to the cIOS thing, I have cIOS36 rev 10 whats the difference between that and cIOS38 rev 13? which one should i have?

starfall and preloader won't work together, uninstall starfalls hacks then install preloader.

ok, I just run starfall, say no to everything and that will uninstall it?

Am I better of with starpatch or preloader?

yea thats right...i would use preloader as it has more brick recovery options than startpatch

should i get cIOS38 rev 13 or rev 13b, Ive been reading alot about some of the newer games having problems with 13b i.e ghostbusters, indiana jones, punch out.................
