I won't go any more off-topic than to say that you are correct to say that my original post for initial cIOS38 rev. 13 was locked and reposted by a moderator.

So I'm a little new to the scene, and I'm having a little bit of trouble getting this update to run smoothly. If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated. Here is the rundown:

I have a 3.3U wii with HBC installed. I've attempted to install this cIOS update by using the installer to install the .wad from the root directory of the SD card. At this point, all seems to go well. The cIOS installer claims to have installed fine, yet when I look at the HBC channel it tells me my cIOS version is "IOS37 v8.22", which I believe should be 38 now, correct? Anyways, the reason I ask is because I have been attempting to install some wads yet each time I go to boot them up, the wii restarts.

Have I missed a step somewhere? I even tried using the Network option provided in the installer and that worked fine as well, but there seems to be no change. I've looked around and the problem seems to be attributed to the cIOS, but the installers are running flawlessly. Any guesses?
