The ios that the hb channel uses has nothing to do with cios38r13b. Try running ios downgrader to fix your wad problem.

Not trying to derail this thread. But when I was trying to get the IOS installed last night, that was the exact problem I was trying to fix. I'm on 3.1u mind you, so ymmv, but here's what I did. I hit the link in dogegg's sig to find a bunch of IOSs. I then downloaded IOS37-64-2070-FreeTheBug, IOS53-64-v4113-Freethebug, and IOS55-64-v4633

Installed all three and now Mega man 9 and FF My life as king both play just fine. As does all other wiiware i've tried. I'm a complete noob so I have no clue which of those IOSs you may already have installed, but it can't hurt to try.

Thank you very much Ossot and Dogeggs. I used the downgrader to revert to 3.2U, however, that didn't cure the problem. However, when I installed the 53 and 55 IOS things began to work. You two have been very helpful and I am very gracious.

Anyone have problems with USB Loader 1.5 after installing this update? It fails to mount my USB device. If I drop back to 36 rev10 all works perfectly.

EDIT: Nevermind. I didn't realize that rev 12 started needing the drive in the bottom USB slot.

I hope this will help others, I was getting no where installing, keep getting a error 1 and then I accidentally installed from network and I guess it downloaded it from somewhere and installed?

So if you get a error try network install.

P.S. I tried to install preloader as stated in the 1st version to able to install it but I could not get preloader installed and could not find a install manual for it!

I have a 3.3U wii with HBC installed. I've attempted to install this cIOS update by using the installer to install the .wad from the root directory of the SD card. At this point, all seems to go well. The cIOS installer claims to have installed fine, yet when I look at the HBC channel it tells me my cIOS version is "IOS37 v8.22", which I believe should be 38 now, correct? Anyways, the reason I ask is because I have been attempting to install some wads yet each time I go to boot them up, the wii restarts.

Have I missed a step somewhere? I even tried using the Network option provided in the installer and that worked fine as well, but there seems to be no change. I've looked around and the problem seems to be attributed to the cIOS, but the installers are running flawlessly. Any guesses?
I believe that the cIOS should have installed as IOS 249.

need a little help please guys!!

I have a wii pal system im using 3.2U with usbloader 1.5.

I got the new ghostbusters game and it didnt work so following what was being said i updated to cios rev 13b and used usbloader GX. now im on this im having issues, i have to switch off the wii when i want to play another game, and fifa 08 no longer works it hangs.

i want to go back to rev 10. should i uninstall rev 13b before installing rev 10. i did already try this and fifa 08 didnt work and also found i had to reboot the wii to play another game so sounds like rev 13b is still there somehow.

alternatively could i just format my wii and start again? i dont really want to do this cos of my mario kart saves but if i have to get it back to rev 10 this way then so be it.

    Thanks for any advise.

try 13a first - you don't need to uninstall, they overwrite each other...anbd don't bother formatting it won't do any good as it doesn't remove ios, just saves and channels.

I didn't realise this as i didn't install rev 12 of 38.... this should be made a thread title of so people know..maybe?

Thanks - bout to try it again now...had exactly the same problem!

    UPDATE
It worked! looking at the back of the wii (as it stands upright) you need to plug into the right hand side usb port.

    hope this helps ppl!

Tried 13a first and because of the errors and not being able to load 1 game after the other without rebooting, i then went to 13b but same sort of stuff, errors and cant load game without the reboot.
