It froze when I selected 222 I'm assuming because I had not installed 222. When I used 249 then it detected the drive but said it needed formatting. I did and it dumped which required a manual reset.
Now I moved the connection to USB 1 as directed on a forum somewhere and it detects the drive right away but still says the partition needs formatting, does it and dumps again, still requiring a manual reset.

Well therein may lie the issue it was formatted as a logical partition. Let me try to reformat as a primary and see if that does the trick.
it prolly will i was having the same issue when i did that.. and when i re did it as primary it worked

This left me at firmware version 3.2U with HBC and cIOS38 rev13.
I then installed USBloader gx WAD.
That's pretty much where I am at right now.
hmmidk then. im on 4.ou with cios38 rev13 ios249 with hbc/usb loader gx/neogammar4 darkbrew gamecube backup launcher and a few other things
Sure just rub it in why don't ya? LOL, of course I'm kidding thanks for trying.
try going back to cios36rev 10 see it that will get it to load
