it works fine on 3.2 - it only patches ios60 if it detects it....
So .29 does work on 3.2U? But I thought this preloader patches IOS60 which only 4.0 uses. I read that 3.2 uses a different IOS.
now i'm on 4.0, i had it on 3.2, and it worked. now after updating its gone, just like the readme states, if you reinstall sysmenu it will be gone. but now the same installer that initially got this onto my wii will not work. i've pressed 1 and it will not work. does it matter if you run IOS downgrader or not?
I've just installed Preloader 0.29 on 4.0E wii for first time.
I was having blackscreen problem (see earlier post) and read so much my eyes hurt
Got it working by doing this:
i) install IOS36-64-V1042.wad
ii) install IOS60patched.wad
both available from downloads section at yafaze.com
iii) install preloader!
thanks for the tip, ios36 did it for me, as ive already patched ios60 through the app
NO IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!
Everything went fine, installed everything without any hasle, but when I installed the 0.29 preloader on my 4 it gave me this:
You're wii files are damaged (in my language)
so basically I can't do anything anymore.
Man this sucks...
I currently have starfall isntalled. Reading about this I get a feel that this is better than starfall. Is my assessment correct?
Also do I need to undo the changes I did from starfall before installing this?
Ok so I removed Starfall and installed Preloader. Now there are some hickups.
1. After installing Preloader, it was always booting to it, so I changed the autoboot option to SysMenu. Now everytime I try to access the Preloader boot.dol file from HBC, it just checks if Preloader is installed and returns to SysMenu. How do I access the Preloader menu, I tried to switch on the Wii after switching the power off, holding the power button and switching it on again. It still loads the SysMenu.
EDIT: - MY BAD. I should have kept the press the RESET button pressed and then pushed power will give it a try.
2. The rebooter option (Press B) in 0.3 Gamma Loader no longer works. It hangs up in a screen similar to a memory dump on PCs. The only option from there is to switch power off and on.
3. What do the first 2 options do? This is not my pic. Mine says SystemMenu for first and Preloader for second.
