my wii is a jp system bought outside of state. im totally new to the whole wii hacking but i really like to figure out.
my wii is 3.4J with 3 channel installed when i bought it. i have no idea either one of them is for.
1. GammA, it looks exactly like Gecko OS. i assume it has the same function as Gecko OS, allows me to play ENG PAL wii games?
2. SoftChip Loader, the main screen looks exactly like this. from my understand it allows me to load downloaded games .ios file i assume?
3. Homebrew, what type of useful files do i need on my SD card to run .wad games? since homebrew has already installed on my system do i still need to downgrade it to 3.2 and go through zelda -> twilight hack if i want mess with .wad games?
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?
Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?

Thanks for your understanding
thanks for the replies, i was messing with it these few days and i got it figured out.
i managed to install the wad games with wad manager from homebrew. i can play the downloaded games also, (i believe it's called IOS?) i bought each game for $3 to test out i am actually a little curious how the dealer hacked the wii since most of the people said 3.4 blocks wad manger.
however i found a user's manual that came with the wii by the dealer. it says the wii softchip loader allows me to access IOS file games. and gamma allows me to play US version games.
i think that means i can downloaded games. i didn't access the IOS game from softchip loader program, the wii can read those automatically. i am not sure if that's what it suppose to do or i have to load the game with that program. whatever it does or how to use it still confuses me.
