Hi,,I have followed all these tutorials to get my rockband 2 instruments working and nothing. I have a softmodded wi ,ntsc u,,I downgraded to 3.2 from 3.4
My burned games worked perfectly except my instruments in rockband 2. I downloaded your zip and put everything on my sd card. started my homebrew channel and navigated to the right folder..tried to load 37 with 37,and it failed..same with 36 with 37.
where can I get the proper cios installer.

Has anyone managed to get a backup of Guitar Hero: Metallica to work with Rock Band 2 instruments? Using the cIOS37:IOS37/36:IOS232 method described herein gets the instrument to sync up part way, but neither the drums nor the guitar ever get assigned a player number and none of their buttons have any effect on the game menus.

    They wont work afaik,

Drums are way off for it, WT drums have the 5 pads dont forget rb instruments only 4, I dont think the guitar will work either, Theres a compatibility matrix of what works with what floating around...

I have gotten everything working rockband 2 related (well actually just tried the guitars). What I did was got CIOS installer and also the newest softchip available. I then went and installed cios37 as 232. I then went and installed softchip and when it asks what IOS, I selected 232. After thats all done, I went to wadder.net and got a rockband launcher thats ran by softchip and bingo, everything works.

GH: Metallica isn't even listed on that web page. As for the instrument compatibility, it was my understanding that GH: World Tour was supposed to be compatible with RB1/2 instruments by way of dropping a note lane during gameplay, and GH: Metallica is supposedly based on the GH:WT engine. Right?

So, what I'm asking is has anyone here who has the RB2 instruments working with RB2 backups been able to get the same instruments working with GH: Metallica?

Has anyone had the Cios installer fail and bomb back out to HBC? It doesn't seem to work at all. I am running 4.0U with wanikoko usb loader 1.5 I'm using his Cios 38 v13a actually 13a/b and tried 10 also. The guitar won't get assigned a player.

Awesome, I'll give a try later today and let you know. It seems that with the CIOS 38 V13 installed already when I do get CIOS installed to 36 or 38 it kills USB loader though.

This work great when I plugged the mic and ran gh5 using configurable usb but it did not recognize mic for rb2 nor ghwt. I ran the games using usb and with burned disks using backup launcher. Any ideas why it does not work on the other games?
