An app to play / convert WAD games on a SD card?

    Hey everyone,

I've got 300+ VC games & Wiiware on my PC in .wad format, which I want to store & play from my SD card.

I know I can use Wad Manager to install the .wad files onto my wii. I know that I can then use the Data Management utility on my Wii to move the VC channels from my Wii to my SD card, which I can then play them off. I just don't want to have to do this 300 times (!).

Once the Wii moves the game from the system to the SD card, the game appears as a .bin file. I'm assuming that they're hardwired to my MAC address, so I need either:

    a) A homebrew app that batch moves my installed VC games / wiiware to my SD card.
    b) A homebrew app that can directly play .wad files from my SD card
    c) A homebrew app that converts my .wad files on my sd card to .bin files, so that the Wii recognizes them.

    Thanks everyone!

    Lee

That is a lot of VC games, must have cost a fortune! Lol I only have about 10-15 myself...if even that

Anyway, you may want to look into SNEEK/UNEEK...it's pretty complicated to use (I still can't figure it out myself) but it will allow you to install the wads to the SD card instead of the Wii and launch them via a USB loader such as USB Loader GX.

Thanks for your advice, I looked at the SNEEK/UNEEK tutorial and it looks pretty complicated, and it seems as if I might end up having to do a one-by-one approach in the end anyway. I might just end up doing them bit by bit from the Wii menu.

I wonder if there's a PC program like Wii Backup Fusion but for .wad files instead of .iso files.

Anyone know of such a program?

Sorry, no. The only way I know to get your wads installed on SD and be playable there would be with EmuNAND via USB Loader GX + ShowMiiWads. That way all you do is use USB GX to dump your NAND then using ShowMiiWads on your PC you install the wads to the EmuNAND. Next time you load USB GX check the box that says "EmuNAND" and you should see all the wads and be able to play them from the SD card.

Doing it the way I just explained is much easier than Sneek (which I'm still determined to figure out)
