    Forwarder vs NAND Channel

I'm just a couple small hurdles away from completing a few channel projects I've been working on and I want to ask something. What is the advantage to a forwarder vs a NAND channel and vice versa? And if I create a NAND channel for emulators like FCEU GX and SNES9X GX what will happen when it tried to auto update? Will it succeed, brick my Wii trying or just flat out fail and make me manually update it with CustomizeMii?

channels cannot update it will just fail, you r actually installing the .dol to the wii memory, a forwarder only points to a desired location of the stored .dol ie sd card or usb hd. So to update a channel u would have to inject the new .dol using customizemii with the forwarder just change the .dol at the desired location

Ok, I was kind of hoping it would be able to update on the Wii as well but whatever. Now all I need is to figure out how to remove the background from my "VCPic" so instead of being a black box with a NES system, it would be just a NES with no background box. I don't know if I explained that well lol. I'm thinking it has something to do with the image called "my_TVW_a.tpl" but I'm not sure...I've been told that material "pic1" controls that portion of the VC preview image.
