Some questions about triiforce and what the actual emulated nand does?

Hi all first post here and have been anonymously reading this site for about 3-4 months since I used the softmod any wii guide posted on here to store all our retail games onto a hard drive as we have a 5 and 7 year old that like to play frisbee with game discs.

I'v recently been looking at all the virtual console games and have found out that the wii is ill equipped to hold more than half a dozen of them at a time.

I'v been reading this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...e-sd-card.html and have a few questions regarding this if someone doesn't mind answering.

    1. I'v tried making my wii as kid proof as possible and as such removed bootmi off the sdcard once we modded the wii, it mentions that I need to create a nand backup using this but I already have one from a few months ago stored on my computer when I used the softmod any wii guide incase anything goes wrong, so can I use this instead of creating a new one?

    2. I'm wanting to run triiloader off my usb drive as i have a wd 500gb with plenty of room, if I make an emulated nand backup on here and follow the instructions to install it to this, does this have any effect on my wii's nand? ie I don't fully understand how this emulated nand affects the wii, does triiloader only use this and the wii will still use my prime nand located on the wii?

    3. Do they both work in conjunction with each other or is it a case of using one or the other, as I don't want to risk messing up my softmod and having to do it all again.

I hope my questions are clear and appreciate any input people might share.

Yes the one you have is fine. The difference is that anything you installed since you made that backup will not be on the old one.

" if I make an emulated nand backup on here and follow the instructions to install it to this, does this have any effect on my wii's nand?"
    No, they are separate.
