HomeBrew Usage IS ALWAYS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! now said ..it can be wonderful thing!!

Having read the above title...It means that NO ONE is responsible for you screwing up your Wii except yourself.!!!

If you choose to use HB RELEASES or WHATEVER....IT's YOUR CHOICE!!

If something goes wrong or you used a release that screws up your wii...YOUR PROBLEM.

NEITHER Wiihacks or the Coders or anyone else are in anyway responsible EXCEPT YOURSELF..so don't cry about it...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE REASON WHY WE POSTED THIS.....NOW WORD OF ADVICE>>>DO NOT USE THE NEW SOFTMII RELEASES AT THIS TIME...Until all the bugs are fixed
MAY 1st>>>Our Dogeggs has posted a [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] for the softmii problems
Remember at your own rest..do your research 1st!! and if you do try it...please give feedback [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
There are many on other forums bitching about the softmii releases, other hb releases and their bricked wii's.....saying how certain groups, people, teams, forums should be responsible for their bricked wii's
obvious these people have no clue what "use at your own risk is" or the meaning of HB, beta, releases , bugs..etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\

THE FACTS

IF ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS TO PLAY BACKUPS OF YOUR ORIGINALS...AND DON'T WANT all THE HASSLES...,HAVING TO LEARN, & ALL THE CONTINUAL NEEDED UPDATES...CHANCES OF BRICKING.

BEST IS TO GET A SOLDERLESS MODCHIP FROM ANY REPUTABLE SOURCE....LIKE 1 OF OUR SPONSORS.

2 MINUTE INSTALL AND YOU'RE PLAYING... NO MAINTENANCE...NO WORRIES...NO BRICKING...NO EXPENSIVE NINTENDO REPAIRS...NO CONTINUAL UPDATES.

This is not an advertisment, any negative talk will result in a nice trip to the reading room. This is just a warning about Homebrew, with some facts tacked onto the end. Thank you

Sounds like a lame attempt to get people to keep buying sponsored hardware when the softmods are working perfectly. At best it's a scare tactic legal disclaimer. Of course we know that Homebrew is risky, but it is no more or less risky than opening your Wii and soldering additional hardware to your motherboard. With either choice or both, the best thing you can do is read and follow directions.

DISRESPECTFUL>>ACCUSED modderman of a Lame Attempt with out taking the time to see why it was actually posted....

new account means permanent ban

30 days reading room..hmmm harsh....so 7 days

do not pm mods unless you have permission

btw..who opened up the forum to loaders etc...and who posted most of the HB releases on this forum?...yes...that must be Moddermans lame attempt to keep everyone buying modchips....

Agreed. Ever since cIOS rev10 and the USB Loader was introduced, I don't really see any reason to go back. I can play all my originals and backups straight off my USB Hard Drive and my Homebrew apps work like a charm. Never had a major problem. Any issues I ran into I was able to easily solve with assistance of this fine forum. Once you get past the learning curve and the fear of loading softmodding, the rest is easy sailing. Just remember to return the favor and help those starting out. :-)

You two are both ignorant, and unknowing. Homebrew does have a tendency to brick or semi-brick Wii's with n00bs. With modchips you install a clip on, or a Drivekey and what is going to happen? OMG you might have to reinstall it :O, seriously you people are stupid thinking this is just trying to get people to buy stuff. People always bitch on here about their Wii's being bricked, or cross updated and whatnot and it is all their fault. Become a member that actually has some know how, and some say before you speak your ignorance. Modderman also has a valid point, New-gen modchips are the easiest way to play backups, install and reliablity. STFU and GTF to other forums if your going to complain.

I have an other point of view...
I think softmods will be never be as convenient as hardmods. Ok, you can softmod your Wii, maybe you'll have a 95% success rate with running backups - at a given time. But what about a month for now? Six months? You'll always have to keep up with new versions, and risk that something might go wrong - even if you are a pro (in which case you are part of the minority - most people won't get past the occasional twilight hack). But the most important thing: keeping up takes time and patience. Of course, you might say that you would keep reading forums anyway as you want to be in the "scene" - but again remember MINORITY For me, as a person who is not quite uncomfortable with softmods (and try to help new people), I still prefer to have a modchip - and recommend to other people the same. Why? TIME I just don't want that kind of hassle, and 30-40 bucks for preventing that hassle is a steal in my book! I just want to lay back and game when I want to... Not worrying why MadWorld gives a 002 error, or why ExciteBots has black screen... Yeah, I can hear some of you say "but man, you could just fire up the browser, find the solution, download the new IOSes and launchers & etc, install it to the Wii and you're ready" - yes, precious time well wasted that could be spent with relaxed gaming.
I remember back in school when I counted every dime, I always tried to find free ways of doing things, even if it took most of my time. Now, that I am working and slowly move up the long ladder, I notice that there are things I just want to be taken care of and ready to pay for it so I can concentrate on other things... Like this post
So relax guys, modderman's forum, modderman's rules.
