I totally agree with the statement. Risking anything on your wii, wether soft or hard mod is always gonna be risky. Everything I have done so far has been risky and could of easily bricked my wii, but I read all the instruction and any that said this is super risky, I read again and again and again then made my decision, if I had bricked my wii I deffo would not be bitching about it.

hey everyone, i have both a hard mod and soft mods done to my wii, i got the hard mod orginally because well for obvious reasons, but getting a soft mod for the convenince of doing various wii home brew like the usb loader and multimedia. prior to doing any soft mod i always notice that there is a warning about doing anything to your wii. to be honest you be stupid if you do anything with out research. the problem with young modders today they never read anything that is infront of them they always need someone else to solve their issues. now that is not all of them but most of them are like this and the feed back about from this post is a display of people that chose to do something expect someone else to clean up their mess. i say good on you moderman for posting this people are to trigger happy to not read what is infront of them when they choose to mod their own wii. these homebrew tools where made to make poeple's lives easier and showcase people's talent, blaming these people for your own mistakes shows you incompetence to solve your own issues.
I agree, if you want to risk playing around with softmod than its the individual person fault if they brick there Wii
There is enough information on the net on how to 'softmod' correctly and to minimize bricking, or at the least tell you what apps to install before doing anything else, but then again people like to rush into everything lol

i would have went with the plain solder chip but im too broke, i absolutly love soldering. and i do belive it is supieror in many was. but softmods are free and if you actualy pay attention to what your doing there is no way (unless power cuts in the middle of sometihing important) anything bad will happen, specialy if you took the time to educate yourself. and if they dicided not to educate them selves then they shouldnt blame others.
