Ok well you need a program to create a partition i don't know of i free one .. EASEUS Partition Manager - is good, i do not pay for things

What you will want to do it select the ipod with the program and then firgure out what how much space your want to format it will keep the files in the partition that already exists once done i suggest formatting to FAT32 then formatting to WBFS via the WII hope it works out ok

yea i know that, like it can't open the drive...but what im saying is that when i run through cmd prompt and try installing an iso it gives me an error message on the cmd screen

    wbfs windows port build 'delta'
could no open drive: no error

and ive tried with ur gui same things, ive tried manually same thing, and ive tried that manager prog it installs but when i select drive to load wont open it

ive already got it formatted from the wii and have installed games on through loader channel ( thats a whole other issue id like to ask ya about later when i get a chance)

Try formatting the drive to FAT32 reinsert it into the PC see if it work, if it does format it with WBFS not through the WII see how that goes?

So when I create the partition, will it be in the same format as it's already in (NTFS)? And then how do I convert that to FAT32?

Once the 2nd partition is FAT32, and I have the IOS, CIOS, and USB Loader installed, I insert my iPod through USB, run USB Loader. Then when it tells me I need to format, will it show both partitions? And then which one would I select?

Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I just don't want to mess anything up.

You would select the one with the size you have selected to partition..... make it bigger than the other one for obvious reasons ... Wii games are big!

@garyleung22 - thanks for wasting space champ!

Ah I see. Didn't know it would tell you the size of both partitions. Well I think that's enough questions for one day. Thanks =D

I have a soft-modded wii with a 640 gb maxtor basics hdd, although wii was recognising hdd it wouldn't allow me to copy any games to it.

Realised from other posts that hdd was too large as one partition so split it in 2, now able to rip disks to it and it is allowing me to rip copied games to it aswell, Don't know if they will work yet, will feed back when i know.

    ****UPDATE*****
My copied games are all working ok through usb loader and the 3 i have tried so far are all running ok from hdd.
Wow what a bonus as i thought i would need a chip.

    I hope this helps

    @ timo

replacement ipod screens are relatively cheap
you can also format an ipod and remove all the data on its main partition as itunes will still be able to identify it as an ipod and restore its partitions and system files

edit: can a mod delete the spam posts
