Is it me or IOS58 is slower than 202? My WiiMC 1.0.4 beats the crap out of 1.0.9 (neither play DVDs well, though).

I'm still using menu 3.3u, I would like to have usb access. Am I doing something wrong?
Make sure you have the latest Homebrew Channel version(1.0.8).

The most I could make from the WiiMC readme/changelog is that having the latest HBC installed allowed for the DVD playback, it doesn't say anything about needing the latest HBC for IOS58 USB 2.0 support.

I couldn't get the USB recognized with WiiSX either, but the SD card works good. WiiSX was released before HBC 1.0.8 and the IOS58 installer.

I have been unsucessful of getting DVD's to work with any version of WiiMC, I even installed the IOS202 from the installer for earlier version of WiiMC. I only watch movies over wifi, from my computer. I can get DVD's to work with Mplayer CE, so if the need ever arises, I just launch that for DVD's.

If you read through the WiiSX blog, they are still working on the program, specifically on the code required to get IOS58 functionality.

You can read about it at emulatemii.com

I was playing around with WiiSX and Chrono Cross last night. The game ran great for the most part (I got a code dump entering a battle when I was loading without using a BIOS, but after loading with the BIOS, that didn't happen again). The only issue I saw was when entering a battle, the game slowed down significantly during the fade in effects.

Mine says the same thing and everything works fine. I really don't notice any performance difference.
