[Advice needed] Updating cIOS with Pimp My Wii

Firstly, I have NOT done any updates with Pimp My Wii and my Wii is NOT BRICKED.

I have a internet connection on my Wii and have updated the Pimp My Wii app, to the newest version...

I did a "Perform the test" (Not fix problems) and it says that I have:

Old cIOS249 found ( rev 20 instead of d2x rev8)
Old cIOS250 found (d2x 57 v6 rev 6 instead of d2x rev8)
No cIOS Hermes 222 v5.1 found.
No cIOS Hermes 223 v5.1 found
My homebrew neogamma (R8) is outdated (Doesn't matter to me, I don't use neogamma)


Please advise me on what to do. I know Pimp my Wii is nicknamed "Brick my Wii" So, what should I do?

1. Manually do it (I will need help with this!)
2. Let Pimp my Wii do it
3. Leave it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it (Although some games have trouble running unless I switch IOS from 248 to 249)

What do you think would be the most sensible choice?

Edit: I followed the 1st method and got stuck at the
Select cIOS to install <D2X v8> on my wii it only goes to Select cIOS <D2X v6>

Installing d2x v6 base 56 rev21006 into slot 251.

No, it all depends on the version of what loader u r using. the norm would be base 56 to ios slot 249

look at the ios info spoiler in the guide it has the recommendation there

I use Configurable USB Loader on the newest revision, I am using d2x cIOS installer 3.1, Also, I already installed the d2x v6 base 56 rev21006 into slot 251.

Makes no difference just follow the recommended settings it will overwrite anything u have already done

If I do that the detected IOS in slot 249 will be overwritten. Is that OK?
