    weight loss, abstract idea

    Heres a very rarely considered method in losing weight for guys this generation and thats testosterone levels. Everyone know a days associate that meaning with hair loss and small testes, but however, testosterone is a very important part in losing weight. It contributes to metabolism, muscle strength, improved sexual performance, and most importantly fat burn. Research also shows that high testosterone levels in woman is beneficial for the same reasons, although i wouldn't recommend these ideas i'm about to share with you to a women, you could still pick and choose in moderation.

    1. Look for vitamins/foods that consist of Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Magnesium and Zinc. These are known precursors for testosterone.

    2. Look for herbs that are known to increase test levels naturaly like, horney goat weed, tribulus terestris, and yohimbe to name a few.

    3. Exercise is key . however many think that working out everday is a great way to loose weight or become stronger . although exercising is good, too much of it can strain your body and not give it enough time to recover from previous days. Optimum exercise is every other day,( or 1-3 days rest) switching between exercises.

    4. A good diet, Consisting of fruits vegetables, good sources of protein ( red meat for lunch is good because at lunch your body will break down the steak easily rather than at dinner) and carbs. Also on a personal note i drink Green Tea w/ ginseng which has reports of helping burn fat and increases growth hormones. Also i drink some of that acai fruits drink. I eat steak about 2-3 times a week , not everyday of course. For snacks ill have natural corn chips(which is a vegetable in another form lol) and guacomole(Avocados are very good for test levels). I'm also taking multivitamins.

    6.Run around in the sun helps absorb vitamin D and puts you in a good mood. Having a good mood increases test while depression decreases it

    7. stay hydrated^^

    8. Get 6-8 hours of sleep. This is the hardest one i struggle with cause of the Nintendo Wii!, however if you get under 6 hours a night and can do little about it, compensate it with one of the other methods listed.

    Aight well thats all i can think of at the moment, im not even sure anyone is going to read this so i'm gonna stop here and see if this helps anyone for now, Not all these ideas are guarenteed, this is all my personal acquired knowledge over time. good luck

    The thing with testosterone in males which makes it difficult to increase is that if you eat fewer calories than you burn, your body will naturally decrease it's production. So it's more effective for gaining muscle mass where you would eat a little more. The key to weight loss is to eat right. A well balanced diet with a lot of veggies, a good multi vitamin a mineral, a lot of water and regular exercise. There is no other way around it.

    Yep my guide for weight loss would be to stop eating so much and exercise more. Cut out Kebabs, KFC, BK, McDonalds, Pizza Hut and any other take away as they basically provide a full day's calorific allowance in one meal.

    You might want to correct your sun exposure reference to Vitamin D not Vitamin C. Otherwise, the text represents your opinion and has little that will cause actual harm if not taken to excessive levels.

    Damn do we have guys on this forum that actually workout???!! I'm only joking, so don't get all snippy with me. Good stuff, but I would add, consuming a good quantity and source of protein each day (whey powder, fish,poultry, lean beef,etc) most Americans eat far more carbs than they can burn in a day, which when unused is converted to glucose and stored as fat. Right now 67% of the US population is overwieght due to sedentary lifestyles(not be confused with sedentary jobs), and consuming too many carbs and fats.

    For the average joe on a basic exercise progam 0.5 grams of protien per pound of muscle mass with a carb to protein ratio of 1.5/1is enough.

    I agree bluedog, but anatomy is a tricky thing to figure because when you eat less than the amount you burn , your testosterone levels decrease; so in a perfect world ( i wish) we would eat exactly as much as we burn and that would ultimately lead to increase tesosterone with proper exercise and accumuluation of fat burn over time. The once existing fat will implode and muscle will conquer you exterior.

    @baboo i need to see how many pounds of muscle mass i got. What do i do to get that information.

    I would suggest a workout program called P90X. If you do that program you'll be able to eat whatever you want and your body will be transformed into an unstoppable killing machine. Its one of the most brutal workout routines I've ever seen and I was active duty military for 5 years.
