would any1 know what cause this problem? my wii always plug to surge protector and when stop play i just power off.
It's untelling with your amount of details. If it doesn't happen again, shake it off and don't worry. If you're sticking to our guides then I can promise you're fine unless there was an act of god like lightning when you were doing a system update.
It's just a guess but I'd say it's an issue with the power supply and not the Wii. maybe leaving it unpowered for a time period allows a capacitor to discharge? I have read that before but I always assumed it was just BS answer that you hear from tech support.
