Issues with my Korean Wii Remote.

Hello there folks.

I've recently got my 2nd Wii Remote + Nunchuk, Korean version. As we all know, the Wii accessories can be used everywhere in the world, no matter what combination of hardware you use. The Remote works as it should, with one exception; a low, but constant and disturbing noise when playing Guitar Hero or Band Hero. The phenomenon does only appear when using the Korean Remote - never with my bundled, EU Wii Remote. All other games work just fine - even Rock Band, despite the similarities. The noise appears regardless of the Remote being put in one of the instruments or not.

An additional minor problem is that the tilting to achieve "Star Power" in the games mentioned above doesn't seem to work with the Korean Remote. Execution with the button works just fine.

Any help and/or clues will be greatly appriciated!

Korean Wiimotes are just weird, they're most likely pirated, I have two korean wiimotes, they worked ok at the start, but now, one remote stays connected but no cursor on the screen, the LED doesn't light up & it doesn't detect if it has a nunchuck connected. The other gets a cursor & it's LED light up, however it can only stay connected for 5 minutes tops before just dying out. It wasn't until I got a new, australian wiimote that I started to enjoy my wii games.

Do yourself a favour & get a proper wiimote. You will enjoy your wii games after that. Throw the KOR on the roadside.

Well, I contacted the retailer and explained the problem, and according to him the problem had appeared on another remote out of the hundered-or-so that he had sold. He promised to send a new remote and let me keep the faulty one as a backup, since it works fine in all other games. In Sweden, companies actually seems to care about their customers. :)

Yep these problems can't be fixed by hacking unless you're extremely good at hacking EEPROM memory(I think thats how its spelled).
