Hi, I have problem with the display of my wii NTSC/J. It is working fine in TV with composite cable. However, The screen will flickering (on and off) with HD TV (with component cable). At first, I thought the TV or maybe the cable has the problem. However, I borrowed my friend's wii, its working like a charm with the same HD TV the same component cable, just different machine. Any idea with this?

    Ntsc Wii component out

Hi - I have a ntsc wii on 3.2 and soft modded.

The wii works ok but when I try to connect to tv with component cable i get a blank screen. I tried the same cable on another pal wii and it works ie its not a faulty cable.

On another note when i have the NTSC wii connected via the scart on the video settings when i select screen - it doesnt let me chose component - (my thinking being i can click component then swap leads over).

Is there some thing i need to download to get this working?
    Thanks!

hmm.. from my case, my original power adapter also working fine with another machine. It is just because my machine cannot adapt with the power adapter. Weird isn't it? anyway, I bought the new one from Nintendo and yeah.. it is working. May be your problem is same as mine.

I can't get my Wii to detect my Logitech usb headset (earphones and microphone) for Guitar Hero Metallica and Rock Band: Track Pack Volume 1.
I spent countless hours with Nintendo, EA, and Logitech customer service trying to get it to work, but failed. This is really ashamed because if I don't get the Wii to detect the microphone, then I will have these 2 games here at home, but not be able to use them.

The headset has been tested by PC, so I know the problem is not the headset itself. I already unplugged all other devices, and tried both usb ports on the back of the Wii, and I even tried re-syncing the first Wiimote; and that didn't even work. The only thing I can think of is somehow, there is something wrong somewhere with the Wii internally, that is causing the microphone with the usb not to be detected. My Wii is softmodded (not hard-modded)

The only explanation that I can think of, is that maybe somehow or someway there is a faulty cios that is installed on my system that may be causing the Wii not to properly detect usb devices on my Wii system. I know that might sound stupid, but I have done everything, and that is the only thing that I can think of. Everyone I talk to says that any usb headset is compatable with Wii, so I don't know what else could it be? I hope someone out there can help me out with this because I really do want to play these two music games.
