I was just wondering how the wiiclip for the wiikey works. The place where it is originally supposed to be soldered dosn't have much for the wiiclip to grip to...so how does it stay in place?
or does the clip attach somewhere different?
As long as the drive chip pins are not cut. You'll probably want to check that first (the only way to be 100% sure is to open the Wii and have a look!).
As for installing the Wiiclip, just clip it over the d2b chip, with the Wiikey end over the large gap in the PCB (like [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register])

the wiikey wiiclip is horrible, we sell it every now and then but the failure rate on it is surprisingly high. If you have no luck with it perhaps you want to consider opting for the d2pro9, its only 5 wires to solder in. We also do sell a solderless version that does work great for over 98% of our buyers.

hello im new here i was wodering if some on can help me with my wii i have a d2b with cut legs i bought a wiikey installed with the wiers and keeps saying cant read i burned boot disk for there site and still nothing or do you know some one wii do it for me
why is the wiikey w/ wiiclip horrible?
is it poorly made?
or does it not work with the contacts?
they have a less than 1% failure rate
soldering will always be better, but these wii-clips are great
modders just tend to bash them (for obvious reasons)
