Hi,
I have a working PAL Wii with 3.1e and the newer firmware required for mariokart to work with the wii key (version 1.9s)
my question is simple- i havent played any new games since mariokart came out and i want the opinion of you guys who are upto date with the latest wiiupdates.
Should i install the 4.1 update from the disc to get sportsresort to work,or should i take precautions and load bootmii or similar?

Bricking is the term used when you software corrupt your console.
When you have a modchip there is only 1 way of doing this --> having a lower firmware version, and updating the firmware of your console from a different region game. Its very simple to avoid this. You can either not play any games from other regions, or make sure you have the latest firmware on your wii before you play the game. The 3rd option is to have a great modchip like d2pro or wiikey v2 -- the latest update automatically blocks updates from other region games.''
