WiiKey II - updated to 4.1; burn games no longer work :(

i just updated my wii to 4.1 with wiikey II installed in the wii. i noticed after i did the update that my key no longer plays burned games but it still can read the config disk. is there a setting i need to set or firmware i need to install for the chip? is it possible to downgrade to 3.5 (it was working on 3.5)

wiiikey 2 has no issues with playing backups on ANY firmware
including 4.1

which means the issue is not the modchip. It could be the disc band you are using. Have to been softmodding at all?

no. never needed to. the burned games were working on 3.5 but stopped working on 4.1

well, gag me with a dog biscuit...

It works now. looks like the way i burned the first 2 disc are not good enough for 4.1

Im not sure what media you are using
but as your wii gets older, the laser generally gets weaker...If you stick to good quality media you should never have issues

I tell all customers to use imgburn to burn all their stuff, and use Verbatium DVD-R

the first 2 discs were no name. the third disc i just burned was verbatium

this wii is also very old (just to give you an idea the serial is L10)
got it on day 1
