Wiikey2 and 4.1

I have a buddy that upgraded his Wii to version 4.1 a few days ago. I'm installing a Wiikey2 for him and when I turn on the Wii the power light shuts off and nothing happens. Is there anything in update 4.1 that would cause this or should I reinstall the chip. I'm only asking so I don't spend hours trying to trace a solder problem if the update is causing the problem

Wiikey is a hardware solution not a soft mod.
It will work regardless what firmware is on the wii console.

There is something wrong with your installation.

I have a wiikey 2 and have always updated my wii until they figure out a way to block it which is very unlikely, most definetely something wrong with the install.
