    Transfer from HDD to HDD

Hey Guys, (and Narse my mentor if you're out there)
I asked this some months ago but wasn't able to accomplish this, I'm more confident now and have a better grasp on the very basic tasks so I'd like to try again, I hope it's alright. I have 2 Wii's and 2 HDD's, I'm tired of unplugging everything and moving my system from my room to my boy's room and back again. If this is permitted: How do you transfer the games from one HDD to another? I'm planning on using WBFS Mgr. The main system has a 1 Tera HDD with both backup games and movies, the other is just a little 320 Gig Wester Digital. The main Wii has a 2 GB SD card in front, the other Wii hasn't got an SD card, but I paid someone to set up Homebrew on it, same guy who did my 1 Tera. The 320 Gig is empty, also I don't know if one or both are hard or soft modded, I'm guessing soft because of the 2 GB SD card he put in the Wii, but I could be wrong. Once I add the games to the 320 GB, can I just pull the SD card from my 1 Tera and pop it in the other Wii to play in another room or must this have it's own SD card? Thanks again

Your probably gonna need to spend about 10 bucks on an Sd card to have the ideal experience.

Nothing. Once all the files needed to maintain configuration, covers, and the actual app (if a forwarder is the case), you use one of those many sd cards for the other console.

How do I go about transferring my backups from my kid's HDD to another HDD for our 2nd Wii once I prepared the 2GB SD card? I do have WBFS Manager and know how to work within it some.
    Thanks again

You can clone your drive in WBFS Manager

Thanks much. After looking it over it appears the guy I paid to put HB on both my Wii's only put it on one and though he charged me for both, he didn't mod the other. I guess that means I'll have to man-up and give MauiFrog's guide a roll before I transfer. Appreciate your valuable time.

Hey wyattspoppa, did you check to see he hasn't moved HBC as I do. On the main menu you can click the blue triangle, centre right hand side, Check along there to see if he has put it out of harms way.
You have many choices, with your clone.
1, You can set up both units the same, Sd card manageing WBFS formatted HDD
2, You can partition your 320gb WD Drive, 2gb Fat32 the rest to WBFS, Put the Apps from SD card on 2gb partiton. No SD card needed.
3, Format 320gb drive to fat32 move your apps over, make a new folder called wbfs then clone your games to that folder.
I see you are getting into things a little deeper. Remember it's always your choice. FAT32 can be seen by your PC, Thats why I like it.

I didn't check for HBC where you mentioned no, but I will. I found it unusual as he'd done work for me twice prior, very responsible.
Partition it and ditch the SD card, no, I didn't know that either. I've always found it strange that I can run my HB with the SD card removed while I was adjusting things on the apps file, perhaps he has put the Mod files on my primary Wii as well, but why the 2 GB SD card if that was the case? Thanks for the options, I should probably mention that my primary Wii/HDD is a 1 TB external, the one I'll be using on Wii#2 is only a 320GB as I'd said so a straight transfer of HDD content won't work, I want to select the games and vids I have on the 1 TB that I want on the 320GB individually. Will the movies likely be on one partition and games on another? (FAT32-WBFS)
    Thanks again

    No need for two partitions.
