Sensor bar going out?

I noticed my remote acting funny when I tried to go towards the corners of the screen. At first I though maybe the rechargeable battery was dead. I recharged and even put NEW batteries in it. Still does the same. The key is I'm only 8ft from the damn sensor. What gives? At first everything worked fine, now it's acting stupid, and makes me want to get rid of the damn wii.

Your wii could be haunted. Try asking it what it wants and tell it to go into the light.

Question.... Do you have xmas lights up? any light source that could be facing the wiimote?

Actually yes, our christmas tree is close to the tv. I'll turn it off and see if that's what's causing the issue.

your sensor bar is just a set of 4 blinking LEDs inside of the bar. the wiimote find position by tracking the lights.. candles in front of the wiimote will interfere with the reading the wiimote gets..

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure that's what it is. Thanks for helping/teaching me.
