NTSC games on Pal Wii - will I brick via backup launcher 0.3g?

Hi guys,

I have been using backup launcher 0.3g on my pal console (firmware 3.1E) as dont have a mod chip.

I did buy some cheap NTSC games at the market while in Bangkok

These are 'Wii Ski' and 'Rayman raving Rabbids2'

Now I am concerned as these are a different region, if they have updates, they will brick my wii.

Is there any way to find out it these have updates or brickblock without reading the disk on a PC? (I cant use brick blocker as dont have a LG disk drive that reads wii games on my pc)

Since you have the HomeBrew Channel and the Backup Launcher ... look for StarFall.

Don't copy what I'm doing, but check out the last line ...

I have not heard of StarFall before, will install and have a play.

By the way, I read that the wii firmware updates done by games ask you to confirm before they do the update - anyone know if this is true?

Anyway, I bravely put the disk in with backup launcher - with my hand on the reset button hoping not to see a update screen, both NTSC games played perfectly on my Pal Wii!!!

Yes they do
and backup launcher blocks them by default =P

if by dvd you mean disc yes
if by dvd you mean movies, no

can ntsc users play pal games and if so how with starfall?

Wait, could you explain a little more? Are NTSC users are allowed to play PAL games via backup loader or the menu patcher?

I'll probably just try it out and see what happens.
