    wii repair non spinning disk

Hi guys. finaly pulled this wii i have apart to see whats going on. orginal or backup disks dont spin in the drive. looking around google i narrowed this to 2 areas. laser or spindle motor, can the laser realy stop the disk from spinning or is this fake information ?

any ideas on how to check if the spindle motor has gone? some people say spin if it moves freely its good to go.

If it was me, I would just replace the drive.
    Have you considered USB loading?
