Lol, no I don't carry one, my austistic son was carrying around his blue one for a while though. Don't ask why, it is just something those kids do. I thought it would be cool to sync it to the droid, and that's how it happened.

Dolphin is a great GC/Wii emulator. Yes it can play games at 1080p. However, while it's awesome, if you want games to play at full speed as if they're on Wii, you'll need a beastly gaming desktop to get that full FPS. I get ~40 FPS on Gamecube games and ~30 FPS on Wii games on my MacBook.

It gives the illusion of 1080p. It is not possible to play a Wii game in 1080p as they are created for standard definition. Anything else is up-scaled and cant compare to true 1080p.

Don't know about 1080p but the games do look great on pc than the wii... I wish I could switch my laptop's graphic card with wii's graphic thingy lol

Sorry Krank but you are wrong on that. It is exactly the same as PCSX2. The emulator has it's own renderer which can output it in any format it likes to with either direct3d or openGL. Yes, the textures are still the same textures but there is a lot more to a graphics engine that just the textures.

Good explanation of most emulators can implement, take a look at hq3x (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_scaling). 3D can benefit from AA and morphological AA etc.

A sandy bridge 2500K can do 1080p at over 50fps which is far better than what the Wii itself can do. I sometimes play it on a 50+ inch tv at 1080p and it is quite good. I also have a physical Wii but it doesn't get as much use as it used to.

Yes, the textures are still the same
That's what I was getting at and yes I am aware there is more to it then just the textures but it's still not going to look like a true 1080p HD game. I didn't say it wasn't better than what the Wii can do.

Yep, some folks come along, and simple discussions become a back and forth.

Probably a good time to close this one.
