Us USB Loader backups corrupted over time?

Ok, so here's my question I've had my Wii softmodded for forever and have my entire collection of games backed up on my USB HDD. Now I have played and made sure every backup was fully working after initially dumping them to the HDD and have not played in a few months and just went to play various different games (absolutely no changes to system nor HDD) and about half my games are corrupted according to Wii Backup Manager 0.4.1 Build 66's SHA-1 verification. Not too stressed about having to re-dump m games just wondering if anyone else has experienced this at all?

Has the hdd been used at all? Has it been knocked/dropped?

Hasn't been touched at all that's what I found entirely odd, and each of the games has their own level of corruption, for instance Bully wouldn't load at all, LEGO: Harry Potter would lock up once I reached a certain point, de Blob would jst give me a grey screen as soon as I tried to go into a level... Like I said just a complete oddity.

EDIT: As of now I have WBM verifying all SHA-1s and of the 92 games I have 35 have been scanned and 16 are showing as corrupted.

Could have been where the discs has been sitting but not 100%. Drives can go at anytime..
I knocked mine off the desk when trying to save some data on it and it bounced on the floor. Ouch that cost me all the data... Had to re rip the games again.

Be aware if the hdd has corrupted once already then there could be a strong chance that it will go again.....
