How to browse the internet without updating the system?

My wii is ver. 4.0, kinda softmodded since I have homebrew channel installed.
I want to browse the internet using the wii. Its already connected to a wifi. When I go to the Wii Shop Channel, it says that I have to turn on wiiconnect. But it needs to be updated. Is it possible to browse the internet without doing a system update?

Yes, update the shopping Chanel v20 guide on this site and also enable the blocks in priiloader black disc and online updates

Sent from my iPod touch using WiiHacks

Doesnt that only update the Wii Shopping channel? I'm asking to browse the internet or get through the wii shop channel WITHOUT updating the system.

    Uhh. Seems a little risky.
Maybe I won't do it for now. But thanks for helping.
    What is a priiloader anyway?

No, not having priiloader on a recent wii is risky. Start by taking a look at the FAQ link in my signature.

if your scared to install something that protects your softmod maybe you should consider removing the softmod and going back to stock..
