    Connect Wii to PC Monitor

    Hi.

So the TV's in the house are almost never available so instead of buying a new TV for my bedroom I thought "is there a way to connect my Wii to the PC monitor".
My monitor only has VGA input.
After looking into it I found 2 solutions a cable that connects directly the wii to the monitor and a VGA converter, kind of a box, that converts the signal to VGA.
I also read that a lot of people had trouble with the cable saying the image blacked out a couple of seconds every 5 minutes.

So my question is has anyone tried the converter and does it have the same problem as the cable or other problems?
Is there a cable that doesn't have that black screen problem? (I looked into a few and all had the same problem)

    Thank you

Hi. I googled it. As I said above that type of cable leads to the screen getting balck a few seconds every 5 minutes or so. Maybe that specific cable doesn't. Do you use that cable? Or is there a way to solve that problem?

    Thx

I decided to eliminate the 13" tv I had on my desktop, with a Dell U2410(i needed an upgrade for photoshopping anyway). It has all the inputs one could want. Composite, Component. When I first hooked it up via Component, it became obvious that either my component cable was bad, or was picking up interference. I replaced it with a Nyko cable from Newegg. VERY good cable. It's obviously well shielded, and feels sturdy. However... When I load CFG loader, it goes to a black screen and my monitor says something about the refresh rate. My guess is CFG loader switched to interlaced(The loading screen), mucking up my monitor? Because I can go pack to "PC" on my monitors inputs, and then back to component once it's done loading, and it's fine.

Anybody else have this problem? I noticed Brian(wiihacks staff) also has the U2410, but he closed that thread I would have loved his opinion on this. But perhaps one of you, or somebody else who chimes in.
