    wii with backedup DVD playability

Hello, first time posting here, Im interested in acquiring a wii since the new zelda is coming out this holliday and turns out im a huge zelda geek i have to play it.
problem is: i have a few gamecube games and i would like to be able to play them on my wii. They are old though and most are "a bit" scratched already so i was planning on getting an older wii that could load backups from the dvd drive since i know new ones have to rely on usb loading but usbloading wont work with gamecube games, thats the whole problem.

so what kind of manufacture dfate am i looking for? and which versions? i know red and black wiis will already not load backup dvds. which version of the white wii should i be looking for?
    1) does the wii sports resort pack load backup dvds?
    2) what about the mario kart one?
    3) what manufacture date should i look for?
    4) what model number should i look for?

tried searching the forums a few times but couldnt find these answers. thanks in advance for your help.
PS: Im in Europe if that will help.

You mainly need to watch the drive. This site might help you: Wii Drive Chip Database

hm, thanks, a bit on the demanding side to figure out which of them read backups and which dont. can you give me a clue on what i should be looking for?
    thanks

also thing is i was looking at some online sales since they end up being much cheaper than store sales. Living in Portugal I get a much better deal if i buy used from the uk for example, so looking at the drive is really a problem.

guess theres no rigorous method of saying which wii models (bundles, dates of manufacture) come with backup playability?

    thanks for the help.

Not that I know of. Anyway, as long as the drive is not D3-v2 or D4, it should be able to read back-ups.
