how do you like your anwsers, and why

i was wondering, what style does people like more, due to some reasons i am now intrested in this so you tell me.

Short, sweet, and to the point, usually lacking details, but is usually really fast and simple

    or

Long drawn out, well thought, with everything and more basicly spoon feeding anyone everything they need

so you tell me which one to do you like more

Yikes, you make option 2 sound awful.

    How about:
Short - to the point, sometimes using terms that the user doesn't know, but can search.

Long - well thought, informative, maybe too much information, but more of a lesson than anything.

    Helpful Threads:
    Dump & Burn discs | 3.3 / 3.4 Firmware FYI | Wii Disassemble | WiiClip Install

    Consoles:
Wii - 4.1U - WiiKey 2 - USBLoader GX - SNES9X GX, Genesis Plus GX, FCE GX w. cover flow mods
    360 - Resident Evil S.E. - iXtreme LT 1.1 - JTag - FreeBoot 0.032 9199 Dash - NXE2GOD, XM360, XeXMenu 1.1, Flash360
    PSP - CFW 5.00m33, 16GB MSPD | DS Lite - DSTT w.1.17a r12, 8GB SDHC

i speak like Yoda (hehe just wanted to say it =x)

short, green, wise, and with broken english

to be fair thats what long really is, xD

    ok ok ok how about

Short: brief, and informative, usually only mentioning what is 100% necessary, and can always be used to help people find the answers on their own.

    VS

Long: well thought out, and highly imformative, giving you all needed info, and then some, usually makes it overly easy for anyone to get it, with the exact advise with usually a high rate of truth/reliability

    I voted for "I don't care"

The only good answer to give is one that gives enough information to answer the question without confusing the christ out of the asker, This could be in the form of a short answer, or it may require a few structured sentences to get the right idea across

Really needed a 4th option of combination of both short and long answers depending on the question

thats more based off the person, since everyone will look for more explanation that is really needed...

this started because i said some very brief things on SD cards, and a few yes's, and the person said thanks but no thanks, i ll wait for E3, and then i forced e3 to post a thing which was like 9 paragraphs =P both said the same thing, but yeah

i put down i dont care, because in the end you really are gonna either like one of the other, or just go with it, i too dont care =P, but i like others opitions

Heheh I think I know which post this is coming off of. In all honesty, E3nine took the time and spoon fed the recipient while Admiral answered short and sweet. I think it all depends on the experience the recipient has with hacking systems and the Wii in general. As I am a noob to the Wii, I will look for more precise, spoon fed results to get everything EXACTLY right the first time. After that, you can zip the answers at me.

To each their own though :-P

I'm just glad that everyone takes the time they do to help others out here!

i think agent: orange hit the nail on the head for most people, i certainly agree. the problem with that is being able to tell somebodys level of knowledge from a question

personally i am amazed you have time to read posts let alone reply to most of them, what is there 500ish posts a day? the urge to go mad and tell people to search must be massive, and the search works well on this site unlike some other sites i know where results come back as gibberish, loads of FAQs to read that makes searching specifics easy.

some people need to be "spoon fed" because they struggle to understand how to do whatever, so need the extra 1 on 1, some people are just plain lazy
