Help w/ gamecube backups on Wii

Yes i searched. On the forums and online. Also browsed quite a bit too.

    I have a mod chip.

Are there any tutorials? I never had a gamecube so i am not sure if anything is different.

I did burn an ISO of a game. According to an afterdawn tutorial it was the correct size. I loaded it in the wii and it seemed to start out fine. No memory card so it asked to continue without saving. I did and then i got an error and it said to restart the gamecube.

Do i need to worry about firmware?
Do i need to worry about region?

What do i need to know about playing gamecube [backups] on Wii?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :-)

Yes. DVD-r burned at 2x. I have had no other problems with bad burns on my Wii games.

D2pro9v3. Just purchased this month from CanadaMods.

    Thanks. :-)

With my WiiKey 2, GameCube backups play just like Wii games. There's no issues. : \

I haven't tried an out-of-region game, but i'm pretty sure those work too.

I dont have a GC memory card. I wonder if that is contributing to it. It seems fine until it gets that gamecube error. Weird.

I have the D2pro9v3 also just recently purchased from canadamods. I have downgraded my Wii to 3.2u. Installed the homebrew channel. have had no problems with Wii backups and VC wads as well as an assortment of emulators.

However I cannot seem to get gamecube backups to work. The gamecube symbol appears in the disc channel, then when I try to start the game it just goes to a black screen. I have tried multuple ISO's at various burn speeds.

    Any ideas?
