Us HD games randomly stop working.

    Hello

I am getting problems with some games on my HD they randomly stop loading and the only way I can fix it is to remove it from the drive and re-install.

    Its driving me nuts!

Using USBLoaderGX and Wiiflow same thing occurs.

Could be that his hd is spinning down through the games?

Well I am probably wrong but I have touched my hd when its playing a game like wii sports and it humms nicly and then I have touched it when its playing a more powerful game like cod blackops and it seems to put more work in playing a more graphic intense game. So perhaps some of his games are allowing the disc to spin down?

It is weird that they have to remove it from the drive just to get it to work. At least we know somethings not right.

Black Ops makes the harddrive work faster, because the game keeps streaming the data from the harddrive. With regular Wii-games, most of the current game-session gets loaded into the RAM, so that it doesn't have to get its information from the harddrive every time. Only music gets streamed from the harddrive in regular games.

So, with that said, the games that rely on the harddrive instead of the RAM, keep the harddrive alive. Games that get their information from the RAM, can make the harddrive fall asleep. So, what you said could very easily be correct.
