The only time my Wii gets laggy wifi wise is if I am running lots of of traffic through my router from multiple sources. When you are internet gaming on your Wii shut down any programs that may be using the internet on your PCs and isolate you connection solely to your Wii.

If it is & MBPS then you should have no problems it might be an interference issue with your wireless. If you only have 7KBps then you have got a problem.
