Will Mii Contest Channel Update My Wii?

    Afternoon,

I have a 4.3e wii wokring using UB loader GX. It is brillant.

As it works so well I am very nervous of doing anything to the wii in case a system update happens or it effects USB loader.

The kids want me to download the 'Mii Contest channel'. Anyone know if the updates the core Wii software etc.. and is it to be avoided.

    Thanks

Well, you are already at 4.3 which is the latest version, so no, it will not update your wii.
Awesome sig picture does not work

Even if 4.3 wasn't the latest firmware, it wouldn't be updated. You can download it in the "Nintendo Channel" I believe.

And there are guides to update the shop channel yes, but in this case, there is no need.

    Thanks guys.

I had a 4.2 very nicely soft modded Wii and one of the kids went a did a system update to 4.3 and screwed it all up. Managed using the 4.3 method to get it working again but very nervous of doing anythign on the Wii that could screw it up.

    Thanks again.

When you get the chance, also remod with the Softmod Any Wii guide.

Thanks guys. I did re-mod @ 4.3 but its a pain compared to a 4.2. Luckily a friend had an original Lego Indiana Jones in mint condtiions.

    Cheers. Mii contest channel working.
