    Cable help

    Hi,

I'm getting a new TV and wondering how do I connect a wii to it.

I was told that this kind of component cable is the best kind

It has 2 audio and 3 video outputs.

Now, the TV that I'm thinking about doesn't have so many inputs. See pic. How can this be done?

Actually the official Nintendo component cables are better. The others break pretty easily (according to reviews). Are you sure that there aren't any other ports on that TV? From the picture, it looks like you don't even have composite ports (yellow, red.white), which would be very strange.

It has a video and audio just one audio though. That is a strange setup 4 hmdi ports even a lan ports but no true composite. How odd.

There is a component video input port on this tv but is is designed for camcorders. You can order a special cable that gives you the Y/Pr/Pb on one end and the 3.5mm jack that this tv accepts on the other. The audio is a standard 3.5mm to 2 stereo RCA. In other words, not only would you need the wii cable, but the previously mentioned two cables along with 5 female to female rca adapters to get it to work....

Seems like an awful lot of trouble.

Yeah, why would you leave the basic ports out of a TV? That's like making you buy a special cable so you can plug the power cable in.
