    Korean IOS and 4.3

Don't worry I didn't update to 4.3. I decided to updated all my IOS and cIOS yesterday after switching to the new USB Loader GX that supports more than 222/223 and 249/250. While in the process I started to think about how the 4.3 update added the Korean IOS. Would it hurt a 4.3 owner to remove them? Like are they actually tied into 4.3 menu somehow and you'll brick if they're removed? Or are they entirely useless like on the previous E/U/J menus? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question but I haven't stayed up on 4.3 that much other than the major stuff.

No it won't hurt at all. They are useless on E/U/J Wii's (unless you like wasting nand space ) and you can delete them.

There is also no reason for E/U/J Wii's to install them when updating IOS as they will never be called on.

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I wonder why Nintendo added them?

Because when 4.3 first came out one of the korean IOS was being installed and used for TBR....the Korean IOS came with 4.3b which was released so we couldn't install a lower version to use for TBR.

Thanks again. When updating I notice I had 46 from the time I tried PimpMyWii. I guess there was something bad about it after all. Needless to say I removed it.

There is a strong advice not to remove IOS under 200 otherwise the Wii it will brick . Should i understand that some are safe to remove like stubs and korean IOS ?

Take a look at this syscheck , it's from a 4.1U but with LKM serial , appears to have Darkcorp , it's not recognising any discs or USB HDD , does not recognise SD card if i eject and reinsert it . Should i just delete the korean IOS'es or update them with clean ones ?

    Spoiler

There should be a few stubs in there. That's normal you are fine there. Korean IOS are useless unless you have a Korean system but DarkCorp installs them in it's proccess. It looks look you have a mix of DarkCorp and normal IOS in there to me. Either re-DarkCorp it or completely remove DarkCorp and your problems will probably go away.

What can I say...I'm a rebel! LOL. It was forever ago too. I had to personally try to see if it was as bad as everyone said it is. It's not quite the demon program everyone makes it out to be but it's not too good. It won't automatically brick your Wii like people like to say or anything like that. That is still attributed to user error.

lol.. I looked into it too.. I can see where the user errors would come from and how simple it is to make a mistake in a rush.
