    Well that's what I mean. No backups. So unless I want to go out and buy GC discs I'm out of luck.

    Got ya. If GC backups are that important you could swap your drive for an old drive that can play burned discs, buy a WODE, or buy a SunDriver. I'm fortunate enough to have an old drive that plays burned discs. I wish DIOS MIOS would have panned out though...It would have been nice.
