    What's a WAD, brickblocking, updates, firmware and much more

    No, this is not me explaining all these to you guys.
    This is me asking you to explain all of these stuff.

    Everyone keeps talking about WAD files, firmware, homebrew, twilight hack, sd memory card and much more.
    All I have is a 3.1e PAL Wii only updated using the Mario Kart Game I guess.
    I need to get the NFS:Undercover game but people keep talking about WAD FILES and brickblocking the iso and much more. whats that and can this harm my wii in anyway?
    Is there a small chance out of these that my wii might detect the Chip, d2pro and shutdown?!?!
