It depends, the softmod is free, but you need to install the newest ios to play new games, in the hardmod, you need some money, but you wonīt need to worry about ios or cIOS

Incorrect. With hardmod you have less to worry about with regard to accepting updates of any kind (though 4.2 and above kills out of region gaming). You won't be able to USB HD, either. Softmodding you do have to be careful and not accept official updates of any kind (that's what Priiloader is for). Out of region gaming is just fine. BootMii boot2 is best for brick recovery (which has nothing to do with hardmodding); BootMii/Priiloader (whether boot2 or IOS install) is best combination for preventing and curing almost any form of brick.

Look at it this way: between the two, softmod is (well for most, I guess not this guy) free and more flexible a la USB HD.

Thanks alot for the help and sorry if this has nothing to do with any of this but i have herd that there are many problems with people updating the homebrew channel to v1.0.7 for example they can't boot to bootmii because its not compatible even after reinstalling so is there any major changes that come with it that i have to update? And i have herd that the hackmii installer removed dvdx installation option where can i download a previouse version to install it on my wii?

If you're putting this on 4.3, then you'd have to use HackMii Install V0.7; HackMii no longer relies on DVDX (1.0.7), that's true enough --- it's no longer required with that version. I suppose you could download V0.6 from Dogeggs' any 3.1-4.1 Wii pack. I also googled it here.

Your best bet is to not let your siblings play with your Xbox 360 - breaking games is the least of your problems with such expensive hardware!

If you want to play backup games (let's call them backup instead of pirated) you will need to have your console modded with a chip and the DVD player's firmware will have to be programmed into the mod (as this is part of Microsoft's DRM for the Xbox 360).
