Goodwill!
Went to Goodwill today (store for second-hand items) .. had a feeling I might find something good. I live in Washington State .. and our local Goodwill actually has great electronics once in awhile.

Went by the TVs and small computer parts section .. and lo and behold .. an LG GDR-8161b DVD Drive .. for $5.99. What a deal .. of course .. it might not be working .. still gotta test it out tomorrow!

I thought it was funny though .. cuz I got my GDR-8162b off ebay in the standard oem way .. bubble wrap and that's it. The drive at Goodwill was still in the retail box!
