And is this a disk for GameCube or actually a Wii disk or is it an actual DVD? The reason I ask is because the Wii can't play DVDs, unless there's a way to make it play them with the Homebrew Channel or something, which I need to look into, and if it's a GameCube disk, then I guess that would mean you couldn't use the Wii's Classic Controller and you'd have to use a GameCube controller, and there's a lot of classic games I don't like to play with a GameCube controller, like Super Mario World to name one of them. I tried playing that on Virtual Console with a GameCube controller and flying with the cape is...weird...and uncomfortable.
I guess you can call it a Wii disk then cause I got the backup somewhere.

    OBJECTION

I believe the PC would be the ultimate emulator, because it can be the most powerful. But the wii is still awesome when it comes to emulating (not counting WiiSX and Wii64, mind you)

Questions about VC injection banners and emulators.

So you mean the other emulators, like the ones for Sega Master System, NES, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo all do work great?

Also, I've got two questions about injecting ROMs. One, how do you change the banner with a Virtual Console injection so that it shows the actual game it is instead of the game for whatever WAD you used for the injection? Is there a separate program to download that lets you do that? Second, I've read the term "brick your Wii" several times. What exactly does that mean?

Try and search first next time...

I don't think the banner can be changed and I'm not sure if the other emulators work fine. THERE ARE HARDLY ANY emulators which work 100%...

Bricking means that when you open your wii, all you get is a black screen of death, possibly with audio. If you searched at all you would know all about bricking. Don't be lazy...

Edit: Just because I'm so nice you brick your wii when you update with an update which is a different region to your wii. It could also happen through a few other rare cases.

I didn't think of it as being lazy. Sorry.

Oh, okay. I thought your Wii could get "bricked" if you do something wrong when you install certain homebrew applications.

And about the emulators, I know most don't work a hundred percent all the time, but some, like ZSNES, come pretty close to it. If they all work as well as that emulator, then they'll be worth using. ...I guess I'll see for myself eventually. I just haven't gotten together everything I need to install the Homebrew Channel yet. I'm hoping to do that the weekend after next when I go out of town for a visit with my family. But anyways...

Well, anyway, thank you for the response.

    The banners *can* be changed.

I forgot to say this last time, but I know for a fact that the Virtual Console banners can be changed 'cause I've seen the changed banners on people's Wiis on some YouTube videos. I saw the original Super Smash Brothers be played on Virtual Console on a YouTube video, and the banner was the title screen from the original Super Smash Brothers. I also saw that Super Nintendo game called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles In Time played on Virtual Console with the correct banner, and I even saw this one video where this guy had put a hack of the original Super Mario Brothers called Toad's Adventure on Virtual Console, which I've played on the computer emulator Nesticle before, and even that game had its correct banner showing the title screen to the hacked game, which looks totally different from the original Mario Brothers title screen. So anyway, I know there is a way to do it. Unfortunately, though, they don't say how to change the banners in the videos.

If anyone knows how to change the banners on injected Virtual Console games, please let us know.
