Any way to purposely make a wii defective ?

I bought a Wii a week ago and never knew that the black bundle pack is coming out for the same price that i've bought it. gamestop only exchanges when wii is defective so i wonder if i can purposely make my wii defective enough for an exchange.

i'm pretty sure they will test the wii if i say it doesn't work so i need a specific way to make it defective without them testing it. any suggestions ?

While this certainly is possible to do, it intends an act of deception towards a retailer for all-intents "illegal" purposes, which will also completely waste a perfectly good console. As such, I'm not prepared to allow this kind of discussion go on here.

If one of the other mods disagrees with me they can feel free to re-open this thread. But for now it is closed.

Edit: And to show I'm not without empathy for your situation, my sincere suggestion is to explain to your local Gamestop that you'd like to exchange straight out, and hope they agree to do so. A lot of those employees are very understanding gamers just like the rest of us, so they may help you trade out consoles the right way.
