you can do what you want with the wii shop channel. i thought about getting a few before i decided to soft mod mine. that was one of the perks other than backups. you can run emulators of home brew. i've got snesgx and and the nesgx. they are simple to install and the roms don't take up much space. highly recommend doing that. check this out List of homebrew emulators - WiiBrew . i haven't got the psx working yet but i'm thinking it's an issue with my rom i dled. for the psx/ps 1 i think you would be better off storing games on a hard drive though since they use alittle more space. hope this helps before you spend cash on a card to d/l a game

this is easy down load the emulator. the ones at wiibrew.com worked fine for me. extra into the root of the sd card if you have home brew channel. if you decide nes isn't enough and want it all don't over write the app folder. open the app on the card and put contents of the app folder in the archive. and put your roms in the right place. most have them labeled pretty clearly or have directions or both. now for the games, i used torrents personally. seemed easier to get them all at once. there are d/l sites you can do this how you want. lastly, if you don't have hbc, checkout messie's or dogegg's guide and follow it to the letter and skip nothing. if you just want hbc than stop when you get that installed. make sure you have the right system software. 4.2s are "special" lol. you can check that in you wii settings on the top right corner. it's really pretty elementary i put hbc on a 3.4 yesterday and my 4.2 recently. when you get the get either installers it will say if you paid for this, you were scammed ect. then just go on there and and navigate to the hbc/home brew and install. i would go ahead and throw on the dvdx and the bootmii also you may want to finish this mod later and it'll be 1 less thing to do. if you use the 3.1-4.1 software, i would take the apps that are in there already and hide them in a new fold in the root or something so you know a kid won't brick you game not knowing what the opened or how to get out of it. (my niece scares my so i hid the tools). hope this helps ya out.
