    ICS and Windows Firewall do indeed run off the same module. You should be able to remove the Windows firewall from your incoming Wifi connection without stopping the service though. Surely the ICS service would know to allow traffic through the firewall though.
    Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    didn't need to turn off the firewall
    all I needed was another computer, which I brought home from the office today

    I plugged in a crossover cable between the two machines & checked if the client machine had internet. It did, so I brought up the IPconfig in a CMD window & the connected to the router & changed the WAN IP details to Static & put in the information the same as on the IPconfig of the client machine that was able to access the net.

    it connected then & I'm able to share it to all my devices, phone, Wii, & of course the 2nd computer.

    the information I couldn't get before was what the client computer should be looking for in terms of gateway, subnet & DNS

    now everything is working fine & I'm downloading the 3D covers & disc images for Loader GX right now.
